Washington Redskins Draft Profiles: Stanley Jean-Baptiste (CB)

Eric Francis

Stanley Jean-Baptiste

Cornerback

Height:6'3" Weight:215 lbs

Nebraska

Strengths: Stanley Jean-Baptiste has the name of a fashion designer, which is awesome. But on the football field his size is imposing. He can jam receivers on the line and has the long arms to fight for balls at the catch point. With everybody jocking the Seahawks' style lately, Jean-Baptiste may go earlier than his 3rd round grade.

Weaknesses: Jean-Baptiste doesn't have elite speed and scouts say he likes to 'duck and dive'. To be fair though, ducking and diving hasn't stopped a number of corners from making lucrative NFL careers.

Bottom Line Jean-Baptiste has the size everyone is looking for in defensive backs, especially with the recent success of the Seahawks secondary. Although scouts say his tackling is suspect, my film study (watching YouTube highlights) shows he can be physical.

Projected Round: 2-4

Team He Fits Best On: Panthers, Chargers, Falcons, Steelers.

HIGHLIGHT REEL SET TO SOME WACK SONG!
