Commanders vs Browns Friday Injury Report: Brian Robinson will be a game-time decision

Dan Quinn told reporters earlier today that DE Clelin Ferrell(knee) and WR Noah Brown(groin) had been ruled out for Sunday’s home game against the Cleveland Browns. This is the third that Ferrell has missed due to the knee injury, but Quinn said he was close to returning. Noah Brown will be missed on offense and special teams, and Washington also placed Jamison Crowder on IR last week. Expect a practice squad elevation to be announced tomorrow.

The Commanders opened up the 21-day practice window for three players, and two of them are listed as doubtful. LB Jordan Magee(knee) and DE Efe Obada(leg) are both unlikely to play Sunday, but will have the opportunity to be available for next week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. QB Marcus Mariota was placed on IR with a pec injury, and is listed as questionable. Washington has an open spot on their 53-man roster, and could activate him to provide depth behind Jayden Daniels.

Brian Robinson Jr returned to practice today after missing Wednesday and Thursday. Dan Quinn said he was trending in the right direction, and Robinson said that he feels good and always wants to play. He will be considered a game-time decision. Austin Ekeler has been cleared from the concussion protocol, and will make his return after missing the Cardinals game. Jeremy McNichols stepped up in his place last week, and could get more touches this week if Robinson is out or limited.

Three other players are listed as questionable for the Browns game. LG Nick Allegretti injured his ankle vs the Cardinals last week, and has been limited for the last two days after missing practice on Wednesday. He’s expected to play, but OL depth will be tested if he misses any time. S Percy Butler has been limited all week with a groin injury. S Tyler Owens has only practiced once this week as he deals with a groin injury and he wasn’t on the field today.
