Update: Dan Quinn will take interview for head coach

The Washington Commanders fired Head Coach Ron Rivera this morning, and there have already been several reports about interest in candidates to replace him. Michigan Wolverines HC Jim Harbaugh’s agent was reportedly contacting by Bob Myers, who is leading the search for a new coach and head of football operations. Rams DC Raheem Morris, Lions OC Ben Johnson, and Lions DC Aaron Glenn have already gotten interview requests from Washington

Jordan Scultz is reporting another name that the Washington Commanders would like to interview. Dallas Cowboys DC Dan Quinn is the 8th reported candidate for Washington’s open head coaching job. Quinn has been the Cowboys DC since joining HC Mike McCarthy's coaching staff in 2021. He was fired as the Atlanta Falcons head coach in 2020 after running the team for 6 seasons. Quinn's defense in Dallas has earned him some second looks as a head coach, but he chose to stay with the team last year. The Cowboys are heading into the playoffs this weekend as the #2 seed in the NFC.
