Report: Washington Commanders interested in Jim Harbaugh, have reached out to his agent

Two Harbaughs in Maryland?

The Washington Commanders have officially fired Head Coach Ron Rivera. They’ve also hired former NBA executive Bob Myers, and former NFL GM Rick Spielman to lead their search for a new coach and head of football operations.

Reports are already coming out about Washington’s interest in one former NFL head coach. Jim Harbaugh has been the source of rumors about returning to the NFL since he left. He’s the current head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, who are playing the Washington Huskies tonight in the National Title Game. He recently hired superagent Don Yee, and that is who Bob Meyers reportedly reached out to to gauge Harbaugh’s interest in coming to Washington.

Harbaugh has been a controversial figure in the NFL and college football. He has been a winning coach wherever he goes, but conflict has also followed him. Most recently in Michigan he has faced multiple suspensions this season, and could face discipline from the NFL if becomes a head coach there again. Harbaugh will be a highly sought after coaching candidate if he is serious about making the jump back to the NFL.
