Across scouting circles in the NFL, it would appear many pundits say there isn’t may prospects coming out with a true first down grade. This is why if possible we should try to gather as many picks as possible after the first. I really like Drake so if we can pick up future capital in draft to be in that mix, that would be nice as insurance for Howell. Anyway, I went over to PFN, because they make you take equal return in trades or close to it. This draft I took guys who I felt possibly could be there and I thought fit us and had value. Bijan is the only prospect with a true first round grade they are saying.
After some trades and all (gotta keep this shorter) this is what I the haul was:
40. Wright, T Tenn
47. Duncan, T, MD
71. Kraft, TE, SDS
78. Julius Brents, CB, KSU
82. Owen Pappoe, LB, Auburn
115. Ronnie Hickman, S, OSU
116. Bryce Ford Wheaton, WR, WVU
118. Jamie Robinson, S, FSU
146. Dorian Williams, LB, Tulane
150. Isaiah McGuire, DE, Missouri
175. Riley Moss, CB, Iowa
193. Jake Haener, QB, Fresno State
Yes this is a lot of picks, but most of these guys are busts. So, if we can get four or five to stick, good draft. Would this draft be better than just not trading back. This draft also tried to address next years needs for insurance
