The NFL has announced the full Week 18 schedule

Washington gets a Sunday afternoon finish to their season

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL just announced the full Week 18 schedule. There is no Thursday Night or Monday Night Football this week, so all 16 games will be played on Saturday or Sunday. Washington has been eliminated from playoff contention for weeks and they just dropped to 4-12 after losing to the San Francisco 49ers at home.

The Washington Commanders are hosting the Dallas Cowboys at FedEx Field, and that game will be played at 4:25 pm on Sunday. Dallas has a chance to win the NFC East if they beat Washington or if the Philadelphia Eagles lose to the New York Giants. That game will be played at the same 4:25 time slot so the league can keep the intrigue of who wins the division. It should also keep the Cowboys from pulling starters early unless the Eagles are blowing out the Giants.

Washington fans have been watching draft position for weeks now, and after Week 17's results, they've moved up to the #2 overall pick in next year's draft. They have the same record as the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals. There are also three teams sitting at 5-11 (Giants, Chargers, Titans). If Washington loses to the Cowboys, that could lock in the 2nd overall pick, but strength of schedule will be a very tight tiebreaker.
