Commanders vs Jets Friday Injury Report: Three players ruled out

Injury updates

NFL: Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Commanders are coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Rams. They’ve officially been eliminated from the playoff race, and have three more games left in the season. Next up is another road trip, this time to New Jersey to face the Jets.

Washington lost two offensive linemen during the Rams game. Center Tyler Larsen left the game with a knee injury, and LT Charles Leno suffered a calf injury. Both players haven’t practiced this week. They were replaced by C Nick Gates and OT Cornelius Lucas, and that will be the lineup for the Jets game.

James Smith-Williams hasn’t played since injuring his hamstring vs the Seahawks six weeks ago. He will return to the active roster this week and start vs the Jets . Casey Toohill will also start at DE with rookies KJ Henry and Andre Jones behind him. Joshua Pryor dealt with an illness this week, but will also be available.

RB Brian Robinson suffered a hamstring injury vs the Dolphins, and he missed Sunday’s game against the Rams. Robinson will miss his second game in a row. Antonio Gibson and Chris Rodriguez will continue to get the bulk of the carries, but Washington also has Alex Armah and newly-signed Derrick Gore available. Jonathan Williams is still in the concussion protocol after getting injured last week, but he reverted back to the practice squad.

The only other player with an injury designation is S Percy Butler. He is listed as questionable after being added to the injury report today with an illness.
