The Washington Commanders are coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Rams. They’ve officially been eliminated from the playoff race, and have three more games left in the season. Next up is another road trip, this time to New Jersey to face the Jets.

Two players received vet rest days. DT Jonathan Allen(foot) and CB Kendall Fuller(knee) both get a day off. Washington had several players get hurt before and during last week’s loss to the Rams. DT John Ridgeway injured his foot during pre-game warmups. He was limited in today’s practice, and we’re still waiting for updates on his injury.

Washington also lost two offensive linemen during the game. Center Tyler Larsen left the game with a knee injury, and LT Charles Leno suffered a calf injury. Both players didn’t practice today. They were replaced by C Nick Gates and OT Cornelius Lucas, and that would likely be the lineup if both players miss more time. RB Jonathan Williams suffered a concussion last week and also missed practice.

James Smith-Williams hasn’t played since injuring his hamstring vs the Seahawks six weeks ago. He returned to practice on a limited basis today, which is a good sign for his return to the active roster. Washington has been starting Casey Toohill at DE with rookies KJ Henry and Andre Jones behind him.

RB Brian Robinson suffered a hamstring injury vs the Dolphins, and he missed Sunday’s game against the Rams. Ron Rivera said he thought BRob would be ready for practice last week, but that didn’t happen. Robinson is still not practicing, and could continue to miss time.

Washington had three players listed as full participants. Rookie CB Emmanuel Forbes suffered an elbow injury vs the Giants in Week 11, and missed two games. He played limited snaps vs the Rams. LB Cody Barton is listed with a knee injury. Tress Way took a big hit after he recovered a bad snap and is listed with a back injury. Way was dealing with a back injury during the preseason.
