The Washington Commanders released their final injury report for today’s game yesterday and they ruled out three players. DE James Smith-Williams and FB/TE Alex Armah both missed last week with hamstring injuries and will miss another game. Rookie CB Emmanuel Forbes Jr. suffered an elbow injury during Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants and has also been ruled out after not practicing all week. Tariq Castro-Fields is active today, the first time in weeks.
RB Antonio Gibson was limited in practice all week with a toe injury. He missed last week’s game, but was listed as questionable for today’s game. He will suit up against the Dallas Cowboys today, and will try to replicate some of that 2020 Thanksgiving day magic. Jonathan Williams was elevated from the practice squad, but he is inactive today.
The Washington Commanders activated LB Cody Barton from injured reserve. He missed the last four weeks due to an ankle injury, but will step back into his starting role alongside Jamin Davis. Khaleke Hudson popped up on the injury report on Tuesday with a back injury and was listed as questionable.
Washington made several other roster moves this week. Efe Obada had surgeries to repair leg(tibia/fibula) injuries, and he has been placed on season-ending IR. The Commanders signed DE Jalen Harris from the Chicago Bears practice squad, and also elevated Joshua Pryor from their practice squad again for more defensive line depth. James Smith-Williams has still not been on the field since injuring his hamstring vs the Seahawks two weeks ago. Washington will have Casey Toohill at DE with rookies KJ Henry and Andre Jones behind him.
TE Curtis Hodges is inactive along with UDFA rookie WR Mitchell Tinsley. OL Julian Good-Jones, who was signed from the Eagles practice squad, is inactive for another week.
