The Washington Commanders were 8 1/2-point home favorites against the New York Giants, and they ended up losing 31-19 in another example of how far this team is from competing. The Giants had Tommy DeVito starting his second NFL game, and an injury report that was three times as long as Washington’s. They had six turnovers, including three Sam Howell interceptions. That last pick came on the final drive and was returned for a touchdown to end any hope Washington had of coming back.

The Commanders are on the road again, and it will be a short week as they get ready to travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys for Thanksgiving. They are coming off back-to-back wins by double digits, and will be looking to keep that trend going against a Commanders defense that continues to allow big plays and big scores by their opponents.

Washington opens as 11-point road underdogs against the Cowboys. The over/under is 48 1/2, which is up 12 points from last week.

DraftKings Sportsbook odds: Washington +11, 48 1/2 O/U

Commanders +440

Cowboys -600
