Ron Rivera is objectively an OK coach.

Rivera is what I call a good crisis coach. Mike Tomlin is the best version of this. Tomlin and Rivera are good at no excuses coaching a mediocre squad to respectability. But Tomlin had Roesthlisberger to win a title while Rivera had a prime Cam Newton to get to a Super Bowl.

But defensive coaches as head coaches are fossils very rare and nothing special.

Great offensive minda like Andy Reid and Sean McVay win titles today.

Bienemy is a great offensive mind winning 2 titles with the Chiefs and making Washington instantly a better offense.

So give EB a shot maybe after the bye moving Rivera into the front office. Will it work? Not sure but probably.
