The Washington Commanders finally scored a touchdown when Reggie Bonnafon dove to hit the pylon. He was ruled down, but it was obviously a touchdown and was overturned. They failed on the two point conversion to tie the game when WR Matt Cole dropped a pass in the end zone from Sam Howell. The team got the ball back with 2:16 left in the game, and Sam Howell had a chance to become a preseason legend by leading the team down the field from their own 16 yard line. That drive failed to result in any points, ending with a 4th down incomplete pass.
