Let's just get the basics of the situation. The price paid for Wentz was a second and a third in this past draft (2022) and a conditional third (2023) that could turn into a second if he were to play 70% of the offensive snaps. Although not directly, because of his 28 mil contract, we did sacrifice a few talented players as well (Matt Ioannidis, and Tim Settle).
Just to put it plainly, the past two weeks have been horrific, and Wentz is the biggest issue. He holds the ball too long, misses receivers, and looses confidence way too fast. His play in the first two weeks were admirable, but other than that, the season looks lost and he is the reason. We're 50-50 right now in terms of his play, and it could arguably be worse.
