It’s Victory Tuesday...and we had to wait for it. And what a victory it was...I mean, for a game where the clock seemed to race towards the final ticks, that game felt like it lasted a lifetime. Thankfully, only Amazon had to pay $78 million for the rights to it. Tonight’s show is of course free for all to view...
If you’ve been a faithful Tuesdayer than you already know that the sale of this team has been locked up and headed for its inevitable trip to the auction block. The news of the day surrounding Dan Snyder gets worse...by the day. We completely recognize that the cockroach-in-human-form that owns this team right now is still surviving, but it’s a matter of time until even he can’t be allowed to stay any longer. That clock is ticking, and that bell is going to ring.
(The whiskey helps.)
Tonight, on After the Whistle, the official Commanders after show of Hogs Haven, we intend to celebrate the way fans of a team that just won should, and more, we intend to celebrate the impending change in ownership. Just when I thought I couldn’t get my hopes up any more, the ceiling just got raised.
The Commanders are 2-4...oh, and we have a new quarterback to discuss! A familiar name with a familiar game. It’s Heinicke Time!
We will be calling tonight’s Mary Jo White Fan Club meeting to order around 8:45 PM—if you know, you know.
