Washington ranks 31st on third down D; 58.7 percent conversion rate. And that includes a 4-12 showing in Week 2. that means vs. Herbert and Allen they have allowed 23-of-34 third downs -- and two of those "stops" were end-game kneel downs. Brutal.

Similar to Montez Sweat in his rookie year. Went to that stutter move too much, took away from his burst and threat to the edge. Sweat still uses it, but more often defaults to long-arm, which suits his skillset much more.

I'm not sure I've ever seen DaRon Payne dominate his one-on-one matchup more than he did yesterday. @PFF gave him 11 pressures and 9 hurries and my eyeballs during the game agree with those outrageous numbers.

The problem was that Allen would slide away from him to safety.

DL for sure needs to play better, especially the DEs, but there is a lot of bad stuff going on behind them too. Again, DL needs to improve, but would need a few Aaron Donald's to make up for whats happening behind them right now
