The 2021 season kicked off perfectly on Thursday night with the Dallas Cowboys losing to the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now it’s time for the Washington Football Team to start their season with a home game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Washington opened as home underdogs, but are now favored by a point or more.
The Chargers had the Offensive Rookie Year last year following Justin Herbert’s impressive season. They will get to see last year’s Defensive Rookie of the Year with Chase Young leading Washington’s defense. LA finished with the same 7-9 record as Washington in 2020, but decided to completely change their coaching staff, hiring Rams Defensive Coordinator Brandon Staley.
