This is the healthiest team Washington has had going into Week 1 in a very long time. There has only been one player listed on their injury report all week, and that was WR Curtis Samuel. Ron Rivera said he would be going on injured reserve today, and it would be a short-term trip(3 week minimum) to give him time to rest and recover.
He was combative when asked about the possibility of surgery for the speedster's groin injury. Expect Cam Sims and rookie Dyami Brown to get more playing time on Sunday across from Terry McLaurin.
The big name on the injury list for the Chargers is starting RB Austin Ekeler who did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday with a hamstring injury. He missed 6 games last year with a similar injury. Ekeler was limited when he returned to practice today, and is listed as questionable for the game. If he can't play Justin Jackson is the next man up for Los Angeles.
Brandon Staley said he expects Austin Ekeler to play Sunday: “He looked good out there. Optimistic for sure.” #Chargers

The Chargers will also be missing DB Trey Marshall who missed practice all week with an ankle injury.
