The team announced the signing of two players on Thursday. Here’s a bit of detail from John Keim
WFT announced it has signed TE Nick Guggemos and DE Justus Reed. Guggemos played at DIII St. Thomas; hasn't played in 3 years; signed with Seattle in the spring; Sea released in June. Reed played last season at Va Tech in '20; 3 years at Fla, 3 at Youngstown St (yes, 7 years)— John Keim (@john_keim) July 29, 2021
These guys appear to be “camp bodies” who are good bets to be among the first 5 players released following the first preseason game, but you never know.
The resulting depth chart has 90 names (43 offense, 44 defense, 3 ST specialists).
Of those 90, six players were placed on reserve lists (PUP, NFI (injured), NFI (illness) on the first day of training camp, COVID reserve), so, unless there’s been a change in status of a player since Wednesday, the number of healthy and active players should be 84.
The team still has one roster spot remaining because of the roster exemption for David Bada, who joined the team via the International Player Pathway program.
