Washington Football Team Pre-Camp 53-Man Roster Prediction

NFL: Washington Football Team Minicamp Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Below is my pre-camp 53-man roster predictions for The Washington Football Team.

I always like to do a roster prediction pre-camp, and one after a few weeks, to see how they match up.

I expect some changes to this either by performance or injury during the next few weeks as things begin to play out in practice and games.

Notes:

- I think four RB’s is what we end up keeping. The fourth is up for some debate - as is Barber (although the staff really seems to like him). I have the rookie Patterson surprising many in camp, and making this roster.

- In a surprise move, I have Reyes make the roster as the third TE. You just can’t teach that type of size, speed and athleticism at the position, and even though he’s a work in progress, I think they take the risk with developing him. There is a chance we keep four TE’s, it’s just a question as to where you pull that spot from. I do think a guy like Hemmingway could go to the practice squad.

- I have Reaves as a practice squad candidate now. The first three safety spots are locks, and I don’t think they would cut Forrest, and risk subjecting him to waivers, as a rookie. So in essence, the final spot comes down to Everett vs. Reaves - and I have the special team’s captain winning the battle.
