Washington officially announced two roster moves tonight. CB Linden Stephens and TE Deon Yelder join the team and will be fighting for a spot on the crowded depth chart. The team had 4 spots to fill following the draft and after a few post-draft roster moves. The roster now stands at 89 with two more spots to fill.
Washington drafted CB Benjamin St-Juste and signed William Jackson III after losing Ronald Darby and Fabian Moreau in free agency. They also have Kendall Fuller, Jimmy Moreland, Greg Stroman, and others returning. Linden Stevens has been on 5 teams since signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent from Cincinnati in 2018. He was signed to the Seattle Seahawks main roster last year, and has 3 tackles in his NFL career.
Washington drafted TE John Bates this year, and he will be in line to backup starter Logan Thomas. They also signed Sammis Reyes, a converted basketball player who is an athletic freak to compete with Marcus Baugh, Temarrick Hemingway, and others for the 3rd spot on the team. Deon Yelder was also an undrafted free agent signed by the New Orleans Saints in 2018. He spent his first 3 years in the league with the Kansas City Chiefs and has 10 career catches for 86 yards.

Yelder, 26, spent his first three seasons with the Chiefs. Caught 10 passes in 26 games. More depth at a position that's not solidified beyond Logan Thomas.

Washington drafted two DEs last weekend(William Bradley-King and Shaka Toney). Shaka Toney is expected to also spend some time at linebacker. The team will bring in free agent Jeremiah Valoaga for a visit, and he is expected to participate in next week's rookie mini-camp.
Former #Raiders DE Jeremiah Valoaga is scheduled to visit with the Washington Football Team this week, source says. Was a high-risk opt out for the 2020 season. Waived by Vegas in March.

Valoaga played nine games for the Lions in 2017 and four with the 49ers in 2019. The Raiders claimed him off waivers late in 2019. Depth signing.

He also now fills the "Jeremiah" void many thought might be filled in the draft. https://t.co/tV8TAJeHVN
Source confirmed DE Jeremiah Valoaga has a visit scheduled with the WFT this week (1st by @MikeGarafolo). A UDFA in 2017, Valoaga has bounced around to four teams, including the 49ers in 2019 when Martin Mayhew was a VP of player personnel. Valoaga opted out of 2020 w/ Raiders.
