Another Washington Football Team free agent has signed with a new team. TE Jeremy Sprinkle was a 5th round pick in the 2017 NFL draft. In his 4 years with Washington he was always considered to be a very replaceable player. His best season with the team came in 2019 when he started 13 games and had 26 receptions for 241 yards and a TD. His stats for his other 3 season in Washington? 8 receptions for 60 yards and 2 TDs. The sad part is that Sprinkle had the second-most snaps on offense by a TE last season. Free agent signing Logan Thomas was the only option at the position last year, and he took that opportunity to have his breakout season.
The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly signed Sprinkle to a 1-year deal. Sprinkle brings his sub-par blocking abilities, stone hands, and inability to recover fumbles or contribute in any meaningful way to Dallas. This is probably my favorite signing of the offseason. Thanks Dallas!
