A quick post-round-one Pick-3 draft prediction contest update

I now know from talking to friends who are non-Washington fans that the pick of Jamin Davis was a bit eyebrow-raising around the league. My pals mostly didn’t know who Davis was and their response was to ask why the Football Team passed on JOK.

The pick didn’t surprise Hogs Haven readers, however.

This year’s participation in the Pick 3 contest was a bit mind-blowing, with nearly twice as many entries as we had last year. In fact, there were 71 entrants into the prediction contest, and 43 (60.5%) of them listed Jamin Davis on their entry form. with 19 (27%) correctly predicting him as the 19th overall pick in the first round.

Obviously, then, we have a number of ties in the scoring at the end of the first round. Nineteen entrants have 6 points, twenty-four sit on 5 points, and the balance (28 entrants) all sit on zero points, hoping to get off the schneid today, as the team makes its second- and third-round picks.

I’m looking for a tight end (Freiemuth), OT, FS or QB (Mills) to be added today with one of the team’s three picks (WFT holds #51, #74 and #82). Correct predictions in the second round are rewarded with 8 points, while correct third-round predictions earn 10 points each.

Good luck to all the entrants, and here’s hoping the team continues its recent history of good draft decisions.

Poll

Should the WFT trade up in the second round to select safety Trevon Moehrig, who wasn’t picked in the first round?
