Update: Contract details
This is notable (as @fieldyates first reported): Sammis's Reyes contract with the Washington Football Team includes $392,600 in guarantees — a $20K signing bonus, plus $372,600 in guaranteed base salary, per source.

The Washington Football Team announced it has signed developmental tight end prospect Sammis Reyes to a contract in advance of the NFL draft. Reyes worked out at the Florida Gators’ Pro Day a couple of weeks ago and made an impression with his ridiculous athleticism. Originally from Chile, Reyes came to the US to try to make it in the NBA, and ended up playing basketball at Tulane. Though his pro basketball dreams didn’t come true, his near ideal build and athleticism appeared to be a good fit for the NFL. Reyes was on the path to being placed as one of the player in the NFL’s International Pathway Program, and it appears Washington snatched him before he could be assigned elsewhere.
Reyes is extremely raw, but could end up being a very interesting developmental option at a position of need.
We have signed TE Sammis Reyes!

A Chilean basketball player who briefly played hoops at Tulane recently tested as the most-athletic size-adjusted TE to ever enter the NFL, per the RAS system (h/t @MathBomb)

Watching some videos of Sammis Reyes being interviewed as part of the NFL International Player Pathway program, it's easy to see why Ron Rivera would like him. https://t.co/UzXFmon0KK
