Go Long news this AM: Washington Football Team majority owner Dan Snyder is buying out the minority owners’ 40.5 percent stake in the team. Snyder requested a debt waiver for 450 million to fund the deal. The deal has been approved by the NFL finance committee.
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) March 24, 2021
From our story: The NFL confirms that the finance committee has granted Daniel Snyder a $450 million debt waiver, pending approval of three-quarters of all owners during their remote meeting next Tuesday and Wednesday. This will enable Snyder to buy out his limited partners.
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) March 24, 2021
Can only assume one of two things: a) the league isn’t worried about what it’s seen in the Beth Wilkinson report or b) it’ll be easier to sell the team if he owns it all
— Kennedy Paynter (@Kennedy_Paynter) March 24, 2021
Despite news of an agreement for Snyder to consolidate full ownership control, the review of the Washington Football Team by attorney Beth Wilkinson continues, per source.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) March 24, 2021
An NFL spokesman says the Snyder sale and the Wilkinson report are "two separate matters," and adds that "the Wilkinson review is ongoing."
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) March 24, 2021
Big question at the moment: Will the Wilkinson Report be ready for owners to review at next week's league meetings?
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) March 24, 2021
If so, action could come quickly. If not, could kick the can down the road a ways.

Gotta think the owners strongly prefer to resolve Snyder situation next week, given that this is likely to be the last owners meeting before media are allowed back in.
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) March 24, 2021
On a day when it appears Dan Snyder is consolidating his ownership of the @WashingtonNFL, it seems like a good time to revisit how the economics of the NFL protect perpetual losers. @HogsHaven @AndrewBrandt https://t.co/3ZZSCcBbBV
— KyleSmith4GM (@Smith4Gm) March 24, 2021
NYT report says this morning in the lede that Snyder will pay a fine to resolve Wilkinson Report, but then the article doesn't circle back to it. That's a blockbuster, if true.https://t.co/gftDtFeIBo

Per PFF:
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) March 24, 2021
"The best and most consistent pass rusher for Washington throughout the year was Jonathan Allen on the interior. Allen's 17.0% pass-rush win rate was a top-10 mark at the position — he was a much more disruptive force than his two sacks would suggest."
I’m waiting for Clubhouse to approve. Wish I’d have known about this sooner, I would’ve had an account created prior. This is important to me. Keep the bland, no new brand. #DCFC.

Washington's quest to add more offensive talent could include New England WR N'Keal Harry. The team is monitoring his situation, according to multiple sources. The 6-foot-4 Harry, a first-round pick in 2019, hasn't produced and could be traded. WFT GM... https://t.co/z3FRqzFYj3
— John Keim (@john_keim) March 24, 2021
That’s fine. Wouldn’t be giving up a high pick. And what does Wash have that’s so good they couldn’t add? Outside of a couple guys of course.
— John Keim (@john_keim) March 24, 2021
That would be an issue
— John Keim (@john_keim) March 25, 2021
WFT interested in N’Keal Harry he would be a solid addition and he’s young only 23 & and maybe he can put it all together here. pic.twitter.com/KSEZIOXFfi
— Notorious Z (@DCzWall) March 24, 2021
My goodness - I’m getting excited about this “potential” Harry news! One of my favorite prospects in 2019.
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) March 24, 2021
If this were to happen - I hope we trade up to #7 for Trey Lance. TE and LB in RD3.

The Washington Football Team shouldn't trade for N'Keal Harry despite their rumored interest in the former first-rounder. Here's why.https://t.co/M090uPIVwL

CB Fabian Moreau has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Atlanta, per person with knowledge of the situation. Washington had considered him as an option to return.

"I know we played him in Tampa once, He was just ballin'. Ever since then, I've loved watching him play, so I'm excited to see him with the team."
Interesting one. First we’ve heard of interest in Kerrigan and first we’ve heard Washington might want him back. Would imagine he’d be open to returning if he can’t start elsewhere https://t.co/VEaGN1OX7P

New #Giants TE Kyle Rudolph has, in fact, signed his deal, source said. So, it’s official. @MikeGarafolo had mentioned a possible snag yesterday, but the two sides moved forward.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 24, 2021
Kyle Rudolph says the issue with his foot was lingering from last season, and calls it "a blessing" that they can fix it now, and he won't miss any football. #NYGiants
— Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) March 24, 2021
Kyle Rudolph said he will have foot surgery ASAP and does not expect to miss any football. Said as soon as he got off the phone with Joe Judge, he told his wife the Giants was where they needed to be.
— Judy Battista (@judybattista) March 24, 2021
Giants have made the anticipated moves of restructuring the contracts of James Bradberry and Blake Martinez, per @FieldYates.
— Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) March 24, 2021
They've converted base salary into signing bonus, which created $7.5 million total in cap space for 2021.
Giants 2022 cap hits:
— Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) March 24, 2021
Williams: $26.5M
Golladay: $20.15M
Bradberry: $20.5M
Martinez: $14M
Jackson: TBD, but figures to be > $10M
Because 2022 and 2023 were originally regular years on Whitney Mercilus's four year extension, converting them to void years will make him ineligible to become a compensatory free agent for the 2023 NFL Draft. https://t.co/DhuFXO9y5w
— Nick Korte (@nickkorte) March 24, 2021
OTC estimate here assumes players pushed off bottom of list of 51 have a min $660K cap hit. The 8 players at the bottom of the WFT list have $880K or $885K hit, so better estimate is ($8.484m - (8x$880k))= approx $1.44m needed to sign draft picks. about $1.8m more cap for WFT FO. https://t.co/Nj5blA2nGh
— Bill-in-Bangkok (@billhorgan2005) March 24, 2021
Strangest approach to the offseason has definitely been the #Panthers. Not sure if they have something up their sleeve in hopes for a big trade but they have deferred a lot of cap to 2022 and beyond when there wasnt much need.
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) March 24, 2021
People crap on Andy Dalton all the time while ignoring that he’s likely going to crack the top 25 in career passing yards this season (passing McNabb), despite playing in far fewer games.
— Brett Kollmann (@BrettKollmann) March 25, 2021
He’s had some really good years when surrounded with talent. An excellent career overall. https://t.co/M8pzVoGDJ4
The #Saints are signing TE Nick Vannett to a three-year deal, source says. Released by the #Broncos the other day, Vannett finds a new home quickly.
— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 25, 2021
I'm told Jayron Kearse is headed to the #Cowboys on a 1-year deal, per source.
— IG: JosinaAnderson (@JosinaAnderson) March 25, 2021
Source: Cowboys are signing safety Jayron Kearse to a one-year deal. He played in 11 games, starting 7, for the Lions last year. He has one interception and 10 passes defended in 73 career games

This is sad. Isaiah Wilson was going 123 MPH the police were called off because he exceeded 140 MPH. The car crashed then police found weed and acid in the car. Pretty wild, he is facing a rack of charges https://t.co/hS34cZEnze

Pro Days are being regulated more by the league to try to find some sort of equity. One of my scouting buddies says it’s much tighter this year. These Pro Dat numbers are likely closer to accurate than most years.
— Kennedy Paynter (@Kennedy_Paynter) March 24, 2021
Certainly depends on who’s putting them out there, but teams are getting more accurate times than ever from these workouts. Will likely continue in the future as teams like this control and the college coaches have liked being hands-off.

Then watching those guys for a drive or so when they're away from the OL I'm watching. That all helps provide meaning to what the OL does against them. Usually can tell who will be an NFL prospect or not, which I think is important in the process of studying tape.
— Brandon Thorn (@BrandonThornNFL) March 24, 2021
Excellent day for him besides the arm length, would imagine he’s gonna be viewed by the consensus as a guard now.

Alex Leatherwood isn't mentioned in the top-tier OT discussion, but these are extremely good testing numbers and he's a natural tackle as opposed to Alijah Vera-Tucker, who will be a guard in the NFL. 2nd round pick but in another year might be a first rounder. https://t.co/lH7OJgI1F1
— WASHINGTON FOOTBALL (@HogsHaven) March 25, 2021
The rule-change proposals (increased role for the replay official, fourth-and-15 alternative to onside kick, "spot and choose" OT format, post-Super Bowl hiring cycle, etc.) have not been sent to the teams yet. That's less pressing, now that they won't be discussed next week.
