Nick Sundberg has announced that he is not being brought back to the Washington Football Team for a 12th season. He is the longest-tenured player on the team, and has been here since 2010. There has never been a question when it came to filling in your roster prediction for LS. He has started 152 games over the last 11 seasons.
Sundberg was expected back along with Kicker Dustin Hopkins who was re-signed to a 1-year deal. Along with Punter Tress Way, special teams has been set since 2015. Now the team will look for a new 10+ year solution to the position.
Sundberg was a well-respected teammate who was very active in the local community. He started his Loads of Love charity in 2017, and has provided laundry facilities for children experiencing an unstable home situation to DMV schools since then. Sundberg was active with Washington's Charitable foundation before he started his own.
With Sundberg, told it was about health. concerned of impact on snapping after his recent surgery to repair the tricep tendon.
