The cap is down from $198.2 million for the 2020 season but up slightly from the most recent previous minimum of $180 million per team. The slight increase is not due to the NFL's pending new TV and streaming deals because they won't take immediate effect. https://t.co/VgFKuRfAw1
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) March 10, 2021
2021 not comparable to '18 & '19 for available free agent dollars since the new CBA raised minimum salaries and the 17 game season will raise them again. Teams have significantly less money to work with in free agency on 17 March compared to the the previous CBA. https://t.co/TLCdfu3Bze
— Bill-in-Bangkok (@billhorgan2005) March 10, 2021
The NFL informed clubs they won't be allowed to borrow cap room from future years to help them in 2021 under Article 11, Section 2 of the CBA, per sources.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) March 10, 2021
So, it's a hard $182.5 million salary cap, though obviously teams have carryover and various mechanisms to clear space.
So based on some numbers my guess is there is still around $30M in losses from last year that will need to be accounted for in the future. Id guess the NFL eases that into 2020 and 2023 to keep the cash numbers as low as possible for 3 year window with big growth in 2024
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) March 10, 2021
31 teams will have $165.8 million to work with and the Saints will have $300 million. https://t.co/ZWf5L8WWhS

So @TorreySmithWR wasn’t alone in thinking as of now, Wash is the best team in the NFC East. Here’s a photo showing a few others from Tuesday’s Get Up segment. Note: should quiet the “never any respect crowd!” Also note: must build on success https://t.co/XWUxk8uDRq

Marcus Mariota is expected to be released.
— George Carmi (@Gcarmi21) March 10, 2021
I'd anticipate #WashingtonFootball to make a hard bid for him. They were connected to him earlier this offseason.
One kink in the plan is that the NE Patriots are also interested. That's a tough team to compete against. pic.twitter.com/UxQuF1mfSI

Washington has issued the exclusive rights tender to QB Kyle Allen, per source. Allen would play next season for $850,000.

— Rich Eisen (@richeisen) March 11, 2021
Build with a rookie and hope to win during his first contract?
Or try with a QB that you’re paying big-time and hope it doesn’t eat too much of your cap so you can keep winning? https://t.co/dja0Y9n947
Trying again: ... Washington will be tendering WR Cam Sims per source. He is a Restricted free agent.
— John Keim (@john_keim) March 11, 2021
Could free agent TE Jonnu Smith be a good fit in Washington? I took a closer look: https://t.co/xFgtP48NJk
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) March 10, 2021
The #Jets will not be tendering versatile linebacker Harvey Langi, per source. He’ll have suitors on open market.
— Connor Hughes (@Connor_J_Hughes) March 10, 2021
Langi had 49 tackles Weeks 11-15. Good on special teams, too.

— #Saints OL Andrus Peat: $6M
— #Eagles OL Isaac Seumalo: $2.408M

— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) March 10, 2021
Makes sense. Teams in it to win right now cant really start gutting rosters especially if they dont have a pipeline of 1st rounders for a few years https://t.co/0anY5MMhic
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) March 10, 2021
If they do not get into the void year craze they would move to about $11M under by restructuring Donald, Ramsey, Kupp, and Woods to the max. Would probably put their 2022 a bit over the cap if they did this but its probably the path to take
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) March 10, 2021

— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) March 10, 2021
Im a little surprised the #Vikings and Reiff could not come to terms especially after the Vikings made good on his incentive from last year. Guessing lack of available tackles in free agency played into Reiff's decision

The #Giants are releasing veteran guard Kevin Zeitler, clearing nearly $10 million in cap space. Even in a tough free agent market, Zeitler will be in demand considering how well he played.

— Brett Kollmann (@BrettKollmann) March 10, 2021
I guess we’ll see what Bradley does in 2021. Can’t get any worse, I guess. And it’s not like the defense was Jon’s fault, I suppose.

.@MoveTheSticks on @GatorsFB TE Kyle Pitts:
— Chase Goodbread (@ChaseGoodbread) March 9, 2021
If he was evaluated just as an X-receiver in this draft, he's a top 10 or 15 pick even if he never put his hand on the ground.
Jeremiah was asked who he would take if Chase, Pitts, Jaylen Waddle and Devonta Smith were on the board.
— Zach Berman (@ZBerm) March 9, 2021
He answered Pitts. Called it a "no-brainer."
Wasn't about the grade of Pitts vs. Chase, but because of Pitts' rare ability and the chance to add WRs later in draft. https://t.co/lNvFVl5SVx
