Thank God It’s Tuesday—What About Football?

Kevin, Tim and Ken cover DC’s home team on—and off—the gridiron as the 2021 season enters the post-bye second half.

The 2-6 Washington Football Team returns to the field this week, at home and against yet another recent Super Bowl champion. We will be back to football in a matter of days, which will once again be a welcome distraction from the non-football crap that has been an even bigger distraction. I clearly fall on the “I can’t and won’t ignore it” side of the fence, but the other side of the fence has its issues too.

Like...for all the hand-wringing about Dan Snyder and his terribleness, it would be fair to say that the football side of the house has not been particularly sound this season. The offseason moves are not currently paying off and though I have as much love and respect for Ron Rivera as one can, it is time to turn a little bit of the microscope on where we are and how we got here...from a football perspective.

It’s an ON-the-field discussion tonight, with the complete understanding that at 2-6, we are pretty much right where we always seem to be whenever we have made the playoffs in the past: dysfunctional and counted out.

The off-the-field stuff just keeps feeling awful, but in just one week since we drew the 679th line in the sand (super feng shui), we have been joined in our fight by Congress!! And they TOTALLY know how to get stuff done!!!

Thanks to all of you here at Hogs Haven, we have one of the best comment boards anywhere, so please join in the conversation. We can still have some fun together...can’t we?

Hit the board on the show link and help us get this one done. All of this on tonight’s episode of Thank God It’s Tuesday, the official Washington Football Team podcast of Hogs Haven.
