Ron Rivera says that they're hoping to get a number of injured players back after the bye: "That could help make a difference for us."

He rattled off Logan Thomas, Brandon Scherff, William Jackson, Sam Cosmi and even Darryl Roberts.

Rivera said the team will look at things like its third down and red zone performance to determine how to fix issues in those areas.

Rivera: there are a couple things that need to be considered with sacks. Some of it can be protection, but other things like quarterbacks going through his reads and whether receivers can get open also play a role in that.
