Washington has been mostly lucky on the injury front this year, but that luck ran out on Sunday in Atlanta. Two defenders will miss the rest of the season after suffering injuries this week. Ron Rivera told the media that Torry McTyer(ACL) would be placed on IR, and Jon Bostic(pec) was likely also going to be shut down. The team made both of those moves official today. McTyer was playing due to a concussion that kept rookie CB Benjamin St-Juste inactive.

Rivera was on 106.7 the Fan this morning and mentioned that the team was going to sign LB Jordan Kunaszyk from the practice squad, a player he is familiar with from last season and their time together with the Carolina Panthers. Rivera also said the team would be looking at linebackers and other positions as they deal with injuries and continue to reevaluate the roster to improve. Kunaszyk was officially signed today, and the team also signed veteran CB Danny Johnson from the PS.

Washington signed two players to take their open spots. Ron Rivera continues to publicly support kicker Dustin Hopkins, but said that, like other positions, “you’ve got to take a look. You’ve got to take a look at all your positions and you’ve got to determine whether or not you’re in a good situation or not.” The team worked out kicker Chris Blewitt two weeks ago, and has now signed him to the practice squad. They also added WR Damion Willis who will join Antonio Gandy-Golden and Kelvin Harmon on the PS. WRs Dyami Brown(knee) and Cam Sims(hamstring) both left the game with injuries on Sunday.
