Washington announced several roster moves before they boarded the plane to travel to Denver. Cornelius Lucas saw plenty of time in the lineup last year due to injuries, and has been filling in at RT this year with Sam Cosmi injured(ankle). Lucas didn't practice yesterday(illness), and won't travel with the team.

Second-year offensive lineman Saahdiq Charles is expected to get the start with both Cosmi and Lucas out. He has been training at both guard an tackle, and served as the team's swing tackle the last few weeks. This will be his 2nd start in the NFL. He started one game at guard as a rookie, but left the game after two snaps due to a dislocated kneecap that required surgery.

Washington announced they are elevating two offensive linemen for the Broncos game. Keith Ismael and David Steinmetz have both been elected once before this season. This will be the last time the team can do this move without signing them to the 53-man roster.

Brandon Scherff is expected to be a game-time decision. He has been out since suffering a sprained MCL against the Falcons in Week 4. He was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. CB William Jackson III is also listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision. He was also questionable last week and ended up being inactive.
