The Washington Football Team released their final injury report for today’s game on Friday. DT Matt Ioannidis injured his knee vs the New York Giants in Week 2. He was listed as questionable, but he travelled with the team and is active today. RB Antonio Gibson was the other questionable player today, but he is active as expected. The only player ruled out on Friday was rookie CB Benjamin St-Juste who suffered a concussion last week.
The big addition to the team today is WR Curtis Samuel who will be making his debut with Washington. He suffered a groin injury in May, and has been struggling to recover and return to the field. He also had a 10-day stint on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Samuel was on IR for the first 3 weeks of the season, but returned to practice on Monday, and did enough to be active vs the Falcons. With Samuel active, rookie WR Dax Milne will be inactive.
Washington protected 4 practice squad players this week(QB Kyle Shurmur, C Keith Ismael, DE Bunmi Rotimi and CB Danny Johnson), but didn’t elevate any of them for today’s game. Wes Martin has been a protected player all year, but the New York Giants signed him to their 53-man roster on Monday. DT Daniel Wise was elevated to the active roster last week, but wasn’t even on the protected list this week.
