Ron Rivera spoke to the media today after the team’s final practice before heading to Atlanta to play the Falcons tomorrow. Curtis Samuel has been activated from injured reserve and is “ready to roll” for Sunday’s game. He has missed months of practice while dealing with a groin injury. Samuel returned to practice on Monday, and had 3 consecutive days on the field with starting QB Taylor Heinicke. This could be a big boost for an offense(and team) that needs it after starting 1-2.
Benjamin St-Juste has been ruled out this week. He suffered a concussion last Sunday against the Bills, and has been in the NFL’s protocol since reporting symptoms. Rivera said Darryl Roberts and Torry McTyer will both be ready to fill in where needed at cornerback.
Rivera is also pretty confident in Antoni Gibson, but cautioned they need to see how he responds tomorrow. Gibson is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Matt Ioannidis is also listed as questionable with a knee injury. He practiced today, and here

His answers are quick one liners, however. There’s a serious tone to him.#WashingtonFootball #NFL @SportsJourney

Speaking with Kam Curl - He says Washington will come out with a chip on their shoulder in Atlanta to prove what happened in Buffalo isnt what the Burgundy and Gold defense is about
