FWIW -- #WashingtonFootball was working on a contract extension with Jonathan Allen around week 16. I'm fairly confident he's part of the plan moving forward.

We will never see a market correction for QBs but it’s detrimental for teams to overpay for a QB who is “just a guy”. When you fork over $30M+ for a QB who needs a perfect environment (OL, skill players and play caller) to excel, you have to wonder: why are we paying him?? #NFL

“Stafford has been solidly in the QB8-QB16 range, whether looking at grades or efficiency as measured by EPA per play”

The @seniorbowl practices start today. My understanding is Washington's new front office executives - Martin Mayhew and Marty Hurney - are in Mobile, Alabama for the pre-draft event.

Two words - Holy. Shit.
Imagine if someone with Jadeveon Clowney’s frame and explosiveness also had fluid hips on top of that, and then you gave him rabies and told him to go get the quarterback.

DeVonta Smith is a great player but the size is a major concern. It’s hard for some scouts to envision drafting a 170 pound WR at the top of the board... We haven’t seen a lot of “skinny” WRs dominate the pro game. It is what it is.. #NFL #NFLDraft https://t.co/a8CCXR8v5u

No surprise to see D’Wayne Eskridge have a big first day. Impressive build, detailed route runner, tough as nails and is a dynamic return specialist. Lots of Steve Smith Sr. in his game.

Rodgers notes this is Day 2 after the season and he's around this week. "I am not like jetting out of town and ‘sayonara Green Bay’. There’s conversations to be had" with Brian Gutekunst, Mark Murphy, Matt LaFleur and he says they're the same conversations they have every year.

Props to all the NFL writers who jammed out some "Aaron Rodgers leaving GB?" copy before he doused those flames. Good work.

De Smith says the NFLPA has "a few concrete ideas" about diversity hiring measures and will communicate them to the league after the Super Bowl, emphasizing transparency and accountability.

NFLPA's De Smith: “We really haven’t had any discussions with the league about vaccines as of yet.... There’s plenty of time for us to have that conversation. I expect the conversations around offseason [issues] to... pick up very quickly after the season is over."
