Scott Turner got his turn in front of the media after today’s practice. He acknowledged the team’s slow starts the last two weeks. Turner said there were situations where 10 guys were doing the right thing, but there was one breakdown. Antonio Gandy-Golden played for this first time last week, and Turner was glad he could get in the game, and get his first catch. They plan to work him into the passing game more and more, like they have been working his fellow rookie Antonio Gibson in.
Turner was asked about getting the running backs more involved in the passing game and he said a a similar answer to Ron Rivera yesterday. The RBs have stayed back to pass protect, and they have seen a lot of man coverage over the last two weeks limiting their screen game. He’s not sure when Bryce Love will be active, but he will make an impact at some point.
