Dwayne Haskins Jr. talked about being on a real football field again, and also sharing the pro experience with his Ohio State teammate Chase Young for the first time. He is still working to prove himself every day, to his coaches, his teammates, and himself. Entering training camp, Haskins wanted to show the work he put in, his accountability, leadership, and his understanding of the offense. He appreciates Head Coach Ron Rivera’s hands on approach and the time he has spent with him.

Chase Young:
Dwayne Haskins is addressing the media now. He said he felt a whole new sense of urgency being on the field. He also loved being on the field as Chase Young again. It's something they've talked about for a while now.

Trusting himself:
Haskins said he's gotten much more comfortable trusting himself at the top of his drop. If the throw is there, he's going to make it.

Comfortable in the offense:
Haskins said he started feeling more comfortable with himself in the offense. He's been trying to show that he can lead his teammates and get them to compete.

Haskins said he's always thought of himself as a good decision maker. But as he's developed, he said he's become more comfortable recognizing when the defense is trying to bait him into a throw. He's also learned not to force passes or extend plays that are not there.
