Dustin Hopkins is out here warming up. Drilling FGs like it’s his job. Missed from 65 but it was on line and wasn’t more than 2 or 3 yards short.

Washington’s NFL team has been scrubbing the franchise’s old name from FedExField. But there are so many references, it’s going to take some time to get all of them. pic.twitter.com/8qRDfsaCHG

Washington players came out in shells. Rivera promised a light workout, not a scrimmage, and it looks like he’ll deliver.
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) August 31, 2020
Kendall Fuller doesn’t have a helmet either, so no practice for him. Ron Rivera said yesterday they didn’t want his injury to become nagging, so they’re keeping him out. Not sure what the injury is

Just got to watch some LB/RB drills. Gibson won all three of his reps and Love made a nice move on Foster. Also noticed Steve Russ coaching up Cole Holcomb. Said his base was better today than in past practices.

We haven’t been able to film much of one-on-ones this camp, but got that opportunity today. Here’s Alex Smith to Trey Quinn over Fabian Moreau pic.twitter.com/K03o7o0w2R

RB and LB going 1 on 1 in the passing game. Bryce Love completely faked out Reubrm Foster with a step inside before breaking out.

Haskins gets 3 plays in the first team period. AP rush up the middle, short pass to McLaurin between Moreland and KPL and then McLaurin can’t haul in a laser from Haskins. Was a little out of his reach but catchable. Second team up now.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 31, 2020
Washington going through red zone drills now. In Allen’s third play, Kamren Curl turned a tipped pass into an interception. It’s his third since training camp began.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) August 31, 2020
Kamren Curl gets his third INT of camp. Allen’s pass hit right off Cam Sims’ hands and right into the lap of Kurl. Seventh-round rookie has flashed throughout camp.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 31, 2020
First-team offense gets first-and-goal from the 10 but can’t get into the end zone. On the first play, Chase Young beat Moses and sealed the left edge. Barber had nowhere to go. On third down, Moreau broke up a pass to Baugh in the end zone.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 31, 2020
Touchdown pass from Haskins to Trey Quinn during red zone time. I've got Quinn on the 53. Many disagree.
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) August 31, 2020
Kyle Allen ends the red zone drill with a TD to Trey Quinn. The two have developed a strong chemistry over the past two weeks.

And in the interest of equal time, here’s Kyle Allen to Isaiah Wright. Nice catch. pic.twitter.com/xBXwijN7pE

Dwayne Haskins goes over to the defensive huddle to give Chase Young an little bump following his last 11-on-11 rep. Young was a hand away from tagging Haskins for the sack, but the QB escaped and hit Steven Sims Jr on the sideline. A little friendly Buckeye competition I imagine
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 31, 2020
Back in the press box now....Looked like Dwayne Haskins had a really nice looking pass to Isaiah Wright. McKissic had a rushing TD earlier in RZ work....He just squirted through another hole for a nice run. Was targeted on a pass but was a bad throw. I think by Allen. Maybe No. 6
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 31, 2020
Next team period: Haskins with a dart to Steven Sims on the right sideline, Kyle Allen with a deep ball to Isaiah Wright (leaping catch) and Allen with a sideline throw to Cam Sims. Bryce Love also had a nice run weaving through defenders.

Starting O-line and D-line have been talking on the sideline for the past 5 minutes. First Ioannidis was demonstrating something to Scherff with Moses looking on. Now Moses and Chase Young are talking. Very valuable for those two groups to constantly be communicating.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 31, 2020
Haskins just delivered a nice throw to Inman. Inman was in double coverage but came down with the catch. One play later, Haskins completed a pass in the end zone to Baugh.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) August 31, 2020
Haskins just threw another TD pass to Baugh on a crossing route.
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 31, 2020
Had some zip on it and good ball placement. .
No. 7 looks sharp for the most part. @WSHFootballSI https://t.co/YNpzFNAK1B
Alex Smith is in on 11-on-11 again. Team is in shells, but still ...
— Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) August 31, 2020
Alex Smith comes out on the field for his first 11v11 rep. First pass is a bit flat and batted down as he tried to hit the receiver on the sideline.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 31, 2020
Jimmy Moreland is making plays again. He just tipped a pass from Haskins intended for McLaurin. McLaurin would have had an easy TD had Moreland not reached his hand up.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) August 31, 2020
Very solid team period for Haskins. First he connected with Inman for a 15-20 yard gain with two defenders close by and then he rolled out right and found Baugh for a TD. A few plays later, from the 3yard line, he found Baugh again for a TD, this time on the left side.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 31, 2020
Antonio Gibson’s change of direction is insane. He just made one small pivot in the backfield and sprinted to the end zone.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) August 31, 2020
Alex Smith taking part in 11-11 work (shells/no contact)\. Just wrapped up 8 play drive (in rain)...threw 4 passes; two knocked down, one dropped -- a slant to Cam Sims -- and another out wide left to Barber for apparent score...
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 31, 2020
Alex Smith's first series on 11-v-11:
— Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) August 31, 2020
-Pass deflected
-Handoff to Antonio Gibson
-Batted pass by Ryan Anderson
-Handoff to Gibson
-Handoff to Gibson
-Pass dropped by Cam Sims
-Handoff to Peyton Barber
-Pass complete to Barber
Antonio Gibson with a rushing touchdown as he's with the third group here....Stumbled a bit .
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 31, 2020
Just had another short one more inside. Remember he's 225.
Isaiah Wright just caught a short TD from Kyle Allen. @WSHFootballSI @WashingtonNFL
As the team goes back to 11v11 drills, I haven't seen LB Thomas Davis on the field on the sideline since the individual drills. He walked into the tunnel with a member of the staff, and I haven't seen him return yet.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 31, 2020
Ronald Darby has himself an INT. Dwayne Haskins tried working the play to right sideline and the ball was underthrown to the receiver. Darby brings it back out and the 2s are now on the field.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 31, 2020
Move-the-ball period happening now. Haskins starts 4-for-5, hitting AP twice out of the backfield and Marcus Baugh short. Also connected with McLaurin for a 15yd gain.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 31, 2020
However, the drive ends with an interception by Darby.
Practice ends with Kyle Allen throwing the ball out of the end zone. That's it for the team's workout at FedExField. Pressers with Rivera and select players shortly.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 31, 2020
The team is coming together after 2-minute drills. Practice is over. Ron Rivera will be addressing the media shortly. I'll provide updates on this thread.

Washington's practice at FedEx today was the team's last camp practice technically. They'll have tomorrow off, then practice Wednesday-Friday before roster cuts Saturday. Focus will begin to shift to Week 1 vs. Philly.
