Post-practice update from Ron Rivera:
Here's Ron Rivera on Jonathan Allen: "Got rolled up on, doesn't look serious." pic.twitter.com/nhfFYjOU7p— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) August 30, 2020
He says Allen wanted to go back out there, but they held him out of precaution.— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) August 30, 2020
Update: Trainers have placed a brace on Allen’s leg
Jonathan Allen is up walking around now. It appears the medical staff put a brace on the left leg. The staff also took his helmet, the sign that he's done at least for the day.— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 30, 2020
The Washington Football Team is going through their most intense practice of training camp as they compete for spots on the roster. Head Coach Ron Rivera said it would be a rough practice, and sometimes injuries happen. Defensive End Jonathan Allen went down with an apparent injury to his left leg. He couldn’t put much weight on it, and had to be helped off the field by trainers. Allen is a part of a Washington defensive line that is considered the strength of the team. We will hear Rivera after practice, but he has been trying to keep injuries close to the vest.

This came on a play where Greg Stroman picked off Haskins. The DBs initially celebrated but then the whole field got really quiet. He's now sitting on a cooler on the back field stretching his left leg out. To me, the fact that he's still out here is a somewhat good sign? https://t.co/SdebUyCKL2— Pete Hailey (@PeteHaileyNBCS) August 30, 2020
