News broke yesterday that OT Kevin Pamphile would be released. Pamphile was signed by the Washington Football Team on July 28th.
Pamphile is listed as a tackle here, but also played offensive guard for the Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pamphile(6’5”, 310 lbs) has started 35 games since being drafted in the 5th round in 2014.
Washington has released T Kevin Pamphile...

Washington will reportedly replace Pamphile with OT David Steinmetz, and he is the first of two potential signings today according to Julie Donaldson. Steinmetz(6'7, 325 lbs) was an undrafted free agent from Purdue who was signed by the Miami Dolphins in 2018. He was to the Houston Texans practice squad later that season. He broke his ankle last year, and spent the season on IR. The Texans released him a week ago.
Washington is signing OT David Steinmetz, per source. More camp depth. Sounds like another lineman could be added as well.

Washington is expected to sign OL David Steinmetz, per person w knowledge of situation.

The team apparently liked the 6-foot-7, 320-pound tackle's length and strength. Steinmetz was on Houston's p squad last year.
Expect another OL signing this PM, per @juliedonaldson_.
Washington's offensive line has been getting tested early and often in training camp. Yesterday's practices reportedly saw the defense dominate the offense. Saahdiq Charles is also dealing with a calf injury which hurts his chances to win a starting role, and hurts the tackle depth at camp.
