Not very good by Moses. Roullier scrapping in the 2nd rep. https://t.co/QQsHL6H6Th
— Robbie Duncan (@RobbieDuncanOL) August 19, 2020
If you've been following me for a while, you'd know this isn't a surprise. Moses has consistently been blocking like this in the run game. He grabs and doesn't strike with his hands inside the numbers. Can't generate any movement that way....
— Robbie Duncan (@RobbieDuncanOL) August 19, 2020
O-Line and D-Line are coming together today for some blocking drills. If you look in the background, Wes Martin gets himself a knockdown. pic.twitter.com/p69zZwPBcn

Tough start to the offense during the first team session. Following a hand-off to Barber, there was an incomplete pass, incomplete screen and a bad snap. Offense huddled up for Rivera to talk to them. Preached setting the tone.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 19, 2020
Some sloppy play at the start. Two drops and a Roullier snap sailed by Haskins. Coaches calling for fast action on this wet field.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) August 19, 2020
After a really high snap by Chase Roullier over head of Dwayne Haskins...@RiverboatRonHC was less than pleased with his offense & sloppy execution. Immediately barked at them in a small group. U can just see a change. @WashingtonNFL @theMMQB @WSHFootballSI @1067theFan
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 19, 2020
Oh wow, great side arm throw by Dwayne Haskins to fit the ball into Cam Sims. Sims beat Kendall Fuller inside, caught the pass in stride and got up the middle of the field.

Offense https://t.co/UF74gy9XAA
— Bill-in-Bangkok (@billhorgan2005) August 19, 2020
Lot of red zone work today in 7-7s. Haskins always with first group. Had to look to extend plays twice. Last rep: good progression, found Inman (motion at snap) wide open. Alex Smith took one set of reps with 2s. Quick decisions. Allen looked like he knew the O (as expected).
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 19, 2020
First 11 on 11 rep with the 1s. Peyton Barber fills in for Peterson at RB. Troy Apke is back. Kevin Pierre-Louis, Cole Holcomb and Jon Bostic.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 19, 2020
Bryce Love has looked good in camp so far. Doesn’t look like he has lost a step from his injury.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) August 19, 2020
Another solid day for 2019 seventh-round DE Jordan Brailford. He blew up a pitch play for a would-be loss against the second team and then spun past an third-team O-lineman.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 19, 2020
Some early “keep your eyes on these guys” guys: Jordan Brailford and Marcus Baugh. The pass rusher and the tight end are getting their fair share of work and seem to be taking advantage of it
— Pete Hailey (@PeteHaileyNBCS) August 19, 2020
It wasn't a disaster but I'm not sure the QBs (and the offense as a whole) will enjoy today's practice tape. Very inconsistent. #Patriots @nflnetwork @AroundTheNFL
— Michael Giardi (@MikeGiardi) August 19, 2020
Final 11 on 11 rep for the 1s. Dwayne Haskins drops back, decides he likes the running one ahead of him, and quickly sprints up it, untouched for the score.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 19, 2020
Yes. He’s thrown the ball away when necessary, made good plays with his legs when he has run, and the passes have been crisp. Some bad throws here and there, but no INTs so far https://t.co/34Tuss00ky
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 19, 2020
I’m not sure what’s going on, but noticed that Chase Young is off on the sideline. Been that way since OL-DL 1s . Haven’t seen him in on the 11s for any of those. He’s not out there right now either. This is just to say he’s on the field, but don’t definitively know the reason.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 19, 2020
Still have not seen Chase in any of the team drills. Others haven't as well. He's on sideline. Hopefully nothing major. https://t.co/TyYKXdTIq2
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 19, 2020
Chase Young dealing with a hip flexor, per Rivera. The rookie largely watched today out of precaution. Hope to minimize the issue rather than have a 4-5 day problem. So, yeah, we have a new topic.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) August 19, 2020
Ron Rivera said it’s important to get Chase Young back out there, especially with him being a rookie and the shortened offseason. Young looked like he wanted to be out there badly, but Rivera said you have to be careful, because you don’t want this to go on 4-5 days
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 19, 2020
Morgan Moses’ feet have looked good in pass protection. Nice kick step, quick change of direction. His work this offseason is paying off.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) August 19, 2020
To my eyes Antonio Gibson just made his first flash play of camp. Speed on that edge. Hard to know without real tackling but in red zone drills Scott Turner just called 3 straight plays for Gibson.
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 19, 2020
Another team session that’s closer to the goal line. Haskins gets 5 plays, then Allen gets four, then 4 for Haskins and now Montez is in. Gibson started the session at RB, while Love was in there once Haskins came back in. We’ve also seen two RBs out there on several occasions.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 19, 2020
Montez Sweat has looked strong again. Beat Morgan Moses on a couple occasions during team drills.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 19, 2020
Allen comes in next and gets eight plays. Had a great throw to Cam sims on a comeback route near the left sideline. Tight coverage, but he threaded the pass in there.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 19, 2020
Here were the defensive starters today:
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 19, 2020
- LBs: Bostic, KPL, Holcomb (Holcomb & Bostic in nickel)
- DBs: Darby, Fuller, Collins, Apke (Moreland played the slot in nickel after playing outside yesterday)
With the 1s again today: Christian at LT; Martin at LG. ... still early, clearly nothing decided. Just a good look at what they can do. Daron Payne and Ioannidis first group of tackles today. Kerrigan/Sweat first DEs
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 19, 2020
Some changes to the first defense today from yesterday as Rivera said there would. Daron Payne is paired inside with Ioannidis. Yesterday it was Allen. Cole Holcomb paired with Bostic at LB over KPL (Tues). Apke still at FS. No.1 OL still same. Barber took first rep @ RB.
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 19, 2020
Had a nice diving catch earlier. Working with 2s https://t.co/NjOFKFGsj4
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 19, 2020
Saw one rep of Young in 1-1s. Matched vs Christian; young wins going up then cutting back inside.
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 19, 2020
Troy Apke out here again with the starters. Full list of starters include Apke, Collins, Fuller and Darby.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) August 19, 2020
Peyton Barber had a really nice run, squeezing through the hole and running past Daron Payne, who was trailing. Got up the sideline for a 10+ yard gain

Have only heard positive things about Logan Thomas so far in camp — if the coaching staff is right on his upside they really might have struck gold here https://t.co/RF4F5zQwy4
— WASHINGTON FOOTBALL (@HogsHaven) August 19, 2020
Couple nice grabs. But couldn’t focus too much on him https://t.co/NU92OzeC8B
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 18, 2020
Logan Thomas and Marcus Baugh were the tight ends on the first play.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 19, 2020
Looking for an under the radar possibility on @WashingtonNFL DL? Ryan Bee.
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 19, 2020
He had some good work this AM in 1-on-1's & combo rush drills. Coaches called him out several times & easy to see from here as well. @WSHFootballSI @1067theFan @LockedWFTPod
