Training Camp Press Conference - Montez Sweat https://t.co/SOs1zhHn2T

Add Montez Sweat to the list of people impressed by Dwayne Haskins' offseason pic.twitter.com/LqN5xErizK
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) August 13, 2020
Sweat played in the 4-3 at Mississippi State, so he's excited about getting back to that in Washington. "Jack [Del Rio's] really letting us get after it."
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 13, 2020
Sweat said that he "developed more of a rush plan" as the season progressed. Sweat had 5.5 of his 7 sacks during the last 8 games of 2019.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 13, 2020
Sweat said that as last season progressed, he began studying the opponent more knowing that he would not be able to get by with talent alone.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 13, 2020
Washington Football DE Montez Sweat said he has bulked up to play in the 4-3 and that he's excited for the new system and new year pic.twitter.com/ubE82Cvk00
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 13, 2020
Montez Sweat said one reason for his second half improvement stemmed from studying opponents more; and going into games with more of a plan. Said he’s added weight but key will be maintaining. Last year started around 260; 250 or less by the end. Now around 265.
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 13, 2020
I thought this was interesting: Montez Sweat said he opened last year's camp at 260, but as the season went on, he lost weight, ending the year at 250. Now he's at 264.

Breaking: The minority partners of Washington's NFL team are pressuring Dan Snyder to sell the franchise, people familiar with the matter say https://t.co/9ExpG65dL5
— The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ) August 13, 2020
Here's who can pressure Dan Snyder to sell: Other NFL owners. Would need 3/4 of them to vote in favor of such a move to do so. Would they really do that? As one person told me, 'too many of them would be in the same boat.' need something more than "we don't like him"
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 13, 2020
The last part was a generic comment about what it would take for owners to oust another owner, not specific toward Dan. in other words: don't hold your breath here.
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 13, 2020
"Ramp-up period" schedule (agreed upon by the NFL and NFLPA):
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 13, 2020
Thurs: 90-minute practice w/helmets
Fri: 105-minute practice w/helmets
Sat: OFF
Sun: 120-minute practice w/helmets & shells but no live contact
Mon: 120-minute practice w/helmets & shells but no live contact
Starting Aug. 18 (next Tuesday), Coach Rivera and two players will be made available to the media each practice day.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) August 13, 2020
Those sessions, as long as they're outside, will be available to the media. COVID-19 restrictions prohibit media from watching practice in the bubble.
I am told names on jerseys will most likely be on Monday! It’s a wet week, so practice is most likely to continue in the bubble. #washingtonfootballteam

WFT announces former LB London Fletcher will join the broadcast team as a postgame analyst.
— Sam Fortier (@Sam4TR) August 13, 2020
Fletcher played in Washington from 07-13. Most impressively, he played in all 16 games every season of his 16-year career.
Chris Cooley confirms he is out of the Washington Football organization completely.https://t.co/gTiDiVW39Z pic.twitter.com/f8t7e6Jf9y
— NBCSports Washington (@NBCSWashington) August 13, 2020
Cooley made clear he's no longer a part of the Washington Football organization in any way. "Alumni."
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 13, 2020
That means no more podcasts or videos either. Says it was the team's call. Quotes via @team980
Not a surprise, Cooley took the high road in all his comments. Said that coaching in the NFL was a dream but the reality of having to move every few years with a young family would be unfair to his kids.
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 13, 2020
This timeline is true as i understand it. Not sure why & who exactly made decision but there was no plans for 47 to be a part of booth this year long ago. https://t.co/2aDXFaCsdq
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) August 13, 2020
Won't be the same at the facility without Cooley there anymore. Team made that decision long ago, just wasn't officially official (he discussed this today on @team980; yes, he's had a desire to coach (talked to him about that on a podcast a year ago). His insight has been great
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 13, 2020
Cooley said he planned to coach high school football this fall before the season was canceled due to the pandemic.

-Coach Rivera's "big message" to the team-their attitude, preparation and effort are 3 things they can control
-#1 goal is to stay healthy and play all 16 games
-on no fans at FedEx: bummed but hopes fans will still stay engaged

Clear message on the responsibility everyone has in the NFL’s COVID-19 world: Put the team at risk, suffer the consequences.
Rookie. Undrafted. 2k singing bonus. Pandemic. And you think it’s smart to try and sneak a woman into the team hotel wearing team issued gear in training camp and jeopardize your career and maybe the health of yourself and your teammates. Peak 2020. Congrats.

The Nationals just announced they've put Sean Doolittle on the IL. Former first-round pick Seth Romero has been called up to take his spot on the roster.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) August 13, 2020
Doolitte can get right without games. Romero, 24, will get a shot in the majors. Has never pitched above Low-A Hagerstown.
