This does not mean Thomas tested positive. Could mean he had close contact with someone who had it. You come off when healthy or after a quarantine period, depending. We should all know by now how unpredictable the virus is.

Washington picks up a CB. 2017 UDFA w/Cardinals. WFT is his 7th team. On & Off practice squads. Got an INT for Dolphins in Week 12 last year. pic.twitter.com/kR6tvMKTfW

Washington claimed CB Ryan Lewis off waivers. Was with Philadelphia and then Miami last season. Dolphins cut him yesterday.

Ken Zampese, on what sold him on Washington: "Whenever you get a chance to be around Coach [Ron] Rivera, you take it. You don’t ask questions. It doesn’t matter where it is at. You know what you are getting, and it’s all good."
— Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) July 31, 2020
Zampese added: "I saw that picture & texted (Dwayne), 'Hey, make sure you ask him anything you want to know about the offense or how something works.' He said, 'I'm already on it.' I was really excited by the response, & I know he was. I'm glad he was out there working with Cam."

Zampese said Haskins is very quick with the ball. Once he sees the open receiver, the ball comes out very quickly. He believes the coaching staff will be able to get the most out Haskins.

Ken Zampese said Dwayne Haskins has done everything he can do in his control -- losing weight, working out, etc. Now, comes the second part. Zampese said Kyle Allen also lost some weight and looks like he can roll.

Joe Gibbs begged Zampese's dad to join the Redskins staff on a yearly basis. He stayed in San Diego. "Are there beaches there? No. I'm out." pic.twitter.com/FPsgZppI7O

Ken Zampese says he carried a sheet into his interview with Ron Rivera. Rivera wanted each of his potential coaches to detail a plan for working with a young quarterback. Zampese shared his experience of working with Baker Mayfield.
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) July 30, 2020
Ken Zampese said what he likes about working with young QBs is you get to mold them. They don't flinch at new suggestions, they're open minded and when things start to work and slow down for them, he loves building someone's mind in how the coaching staff wants them to be.

Interestingly enough, Zampese has dealt with a similar situation with a young quarterback who did not have spring workouts. In 2011, rookie Andy Dalton didn't practice until training camp because of the lockout. Dalton started every game that year.

My prediction: Bryce Love is the starting running back in Washington in 2021.

When he was entering the NFL, my Bryce Love comparison was Jamaal Charles.

Spoke to several #NFL sources involved in the Jadeveon Clowney pursuit. All expressed that they don’t believe his signing is coming “soon”. One pointed out that Clowney didn’t report until the end of August last year and may be inclined to do the same this year with his signing.
