It didn’t take much, but the juices are flowing again. After listening to Ron Rivera’s zoom call with the media I’m chomping at the bit for Redskins football to be back.
Rivera spoke about a number of different topics during the call with reporters that lasted over 30 minutes. Two topics that stuck out the most were his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement and backing his players should they choose to kneel during the National Anthem, and his thoughts on Dwayne Haskins’ offseason.
Whether you bought into the rumors of Rivera potentially not being all in on Haskins or not, consider those rumors dust in the wind. Rivera praising Haskins’ offseason approach in a way validates one of the reasons Rivera chose to coach here-he liked what he saw from Haskins when he essentially ended Rivera’s run with the Panthers.
The work that Haskins has put in this offseason would be worthy of praise during a regular offseason. But add in a global pandemic and an overall weird offseason because of it, Dwayne should be praised even more.
Finally, we wrap the podcast up by reacting to the insane pictures of Chase Young working out. Young looks like he is straight off the pages of a comic book.
Best out! https://t.co/qQGTFAE5Ef

Jack Del Rio heaped on some praise for Young and discussed the impact he can have on the defense. With all that in mind, I doubled down on-what might be a no-brainer at this point-my bold take that Young eclipses double-digit sacks in his rookie season.
