I’d like to suggest we turn the page and look to the future. Greg is a good man and it is never about one man. Look forward: We will spend our energy working to improve at all 3 levels of our defense. It’s not about “talent” but who plays the best on game day.!#OnToNext #HTTR https://t.co/dghUaVfYVP
— Jack Del Rio (@coachdelrio) May 6, 2020
This is either a very classy message from Jack Del Rio or next-level Jedi-Twitter shade, because his comments shunning the piece slamming Greg Manusky come in a retweet of the piece, thus exposing it to many more readers. #Redskins https://t.co/oaNoCGwKvy

NFC East über alles.

Here's one more that's in the middle for my AFC West followers.

Broncos have almost 60% of the appearances here, compared to 55% for the Chargers, 45% for the Raiders, and 40% for the Chiefs. pic.twitter.com/NyzYYuaf21
.@JohnClaytonNFL tells @937theFan that the NFL schedule will be NFC vs AFC for the 1st 4 weeks of the season. Steelers play the NFC East. So 1st 4 games would be Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins, and Giants.

Memo that went today from Roger Goodell to team presidents and executives regarding the 2020 season and the reopening of club facilities: pic.twitter.com/GpueTkPH2u
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) May 7, 2020
Wrote Goodell: "Clubs should take steps to have these protocols in place by Friday, May 15 in anticipation of being advised when club facilities will formally reopen." No players allowed in first phase of reopening and no more than 50% of other employees (up to 75) on any one day https://t.co/pjaZWP1K95
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) May 6, 2020
On the potential reopening of NFL facilities, I’m told the principle that none can go back unless all can go back remains intact. After May 15, teams will receive further guidance when buildings can reopen. More discussion expected during May 19 owners virtual mtg.

More on NFL's protocols for reopening teams' facilities: Teams are instructed to keep 6 feet between employees when possible, close common areas and discourage handshakes, personal contact and elevator use.... (cont'd)
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) May 7, 2020
(NFL protocols, cont'd)... Employees must wear face coverings except when alone in a closed office. Gloves are recommended for certain employees. Teams must provide hand sanitizers, soap, etc., and must sanitize doorknobs, phones, keyboards and other surfaces.
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) May 7, 2020
Protocol for the phased reopening of NFL club facilities includes daily screening of employees, visitors, contractors, etc., who must answer questions and have temperatures checked upon arrival with a no-touch thermometer. Normal temp should not exceed 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) May 7, 2020
Important for remaining free agents, from the NFL memo: "Nonessential medical care, such as routine physical exams ... should not be done during this phase 1 of reopening." Strength and conditioning, football skill work, etc. also not allowed unless related to injury or rehab.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) May 7, 2020
More on the NFL memo to teams, laying out a plan to reopen team facilities while deferring to local government guidelines.https://t.co/Rmtrvjvnis
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) May 7, 2020
Roger Goodell's memo to teams today also instructed them not to comment publicly on contingencies for the 2020 season, saying that "confuses our fans and business partners, complicates the operations of other clubs, and distracts from the careful planning that is needed..."
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) May 7, 2020
Yes, it sounds draconian. And no, 32 owners, GMs and coaches publicly speculating and spitballing neither helps nor informs anyone. Most will welcome the "cover" of not being allowed to discuss it. https://t.co/ewTOv00IRa
— Mike Tanier (@MikeTanier) May 7, 2020
The NFL and NFLPA remain in talks over players’ return to facilities, which will be sometime after the “virtual period” ends May 15. Tonight’s memo is just the first step. Expect further enhanced measures for players as protocol evolves into training camp, games in stadiums, etc.

These numbers are from 2019. Interestingly, the DVOA advantage from sending more pass-rushers was smaller before 2018 than it has been in 2018-2019. But it was still there. https://t.co/C7UptX8GYH

Brett Favre paying back $1.1 million in welfare funds he didn't earn from a Mississippi nonprofit organization once the scandal came to light should be the beginning not the end of figuring out what he knew, when he knew it, and how he got that cash https://t.co/qvbvvcHyAc
