Great to hear Alex Smith talk about his injury and why he allowed so much access to track his progress pic.twitter.com/7XKZ2oVX5S

I’m going to caution that the pictures in this video are graphic. As bad as the pictures have been that you have seen, just remember it’s our reality. Being private people, it wasn’t easy. But here is a small look into what the last 18 months have been for us. https://t.co/UybiZ42GYe
— Elizabeth Smith (@lizbsmith11) April 30, 2020
Alex wanted it all included ...
— John Keim (@john_keim) May 1, 2020
Oh I get it. I’m having to turn away or take my glasses off. I hate looking at injuries. Just explaining why it’s this graphic.
— John Keim (@john_keim) May 1, 2020
I support the Redskins doing everything they can to keep Alex Smith involved in the organization.
— Sean Kennedy (@EatSleepRedskin) May 2, 2020
Will he play again? Alex Smith is doing his darndest. Either way, I am told he is a great leader in the QB room. A great example for everyone - especially Dwayne - on how to prepare as an NFL QB. #AlexSmith What more can you ask for?! #HTTR #redskins
— Julie Donaldson (@JDonaldsonNBCS) May 2, 2020
Hope those who watched Project 11 appreciate the person Alex is. He helped me tremendously the back end of the season on and off the field. I understand why people respect him the way they do. All love to you 11! #HTTR
— Dwayne Haskins, Jr (@dh_simba7) May 2, 2020
I always think about this video of Alex a year after his injury out in the cold, helping the QBs go through drills. All he wanted to do was help Haskins get better. https://t.co/BV8QR4Me2K
— Nate (@BarstoolNate) May 2, 2020
The perspective he’s shown has been incredible. And again his wife deserves a massive amount of credit. Can’t imagine how hard this would be without her by his side.
— John Keim (@john_keim) May 2, 2020
Being an undrafted rookie, not many of the vets took the time to make me feel welcome while I was there. Alex went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and confident. He had a big impact on me as a player but a bigger impact on how to treat people every day
— Garrett Hudson (@G_Hudson46) May 2, 2020
That’s not what Alex would want
— Chick Hernandez (@MrChickSports) May 2, 2020
Mahomes says he and Alex Smith text or speak every 2 or 3 months. Says he knew a lot what was going on with Alex but seeing the pictures of his leg shows the magnitude of how much he's overcome. He also said Alex was one of the 1st people to congratulate him after the Super Bowl.

One of our favorite under-radar prospects at wideout is @Temple_FB WR Isaiah Wright. Explosive guy with the ball in his hands. Legit returner that’s hard to tackle. 2018 AAC ST Player of Year. Temple Tuff dude will be playing on Sundays next fall. #TheDraftStartsInMOBILE pic.twitter.com/v8sRvpnA8R

Imagine that. #Redskins UDFA WR Isaiah Wright's draft profile says "there are times when he feels like more like a running back than wideout with his eye-catching open-field vision and elusiveness" and "offers all-purpose versatility." https://t.co/0NMH5pOhBS
— Burgundy Blog (@BurgundyBlog) April 30, 2020
Scott Turner obv has a favorite flavor of RB. In CAR: McCaffrey. In WAS: McKissic, Gibson, even UDFA Wright. All hybrids. In 2019, CAR's 2nd-leading rusher was a WR. In 2018, 2nd-leading rusher was a QB, 3rd-leading was a WR. Do not sleep on this.

Had this video sent to me today. When the Raiders said that they clocked Damon Arnette in the low 4.4’s with their own watches, that wasn’t just to save face.

Arnette seemed to get an unfortunately quick trigger on the clock at the combine. Just something to take note of. pic.twitter.com/rW327ahKuK

Just looking at some future cap stuff. Hard to believe how much the NFL has changed with contract lengths. Not including this years draft class only 3.8 players per team actually have contracts that extend out to 2023
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
Rules changes in 2011 changed things. Made it harder to do dumb stuff and really shifted any balance from player/agents to team side
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
The move to 5 year max proration and rookie contracts from 6 to 4 at the top with firm restrictions on salary really have changed things
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
So just following up on the contract length stuff. There is definitely a trend. Here are the number of 5 year contracts signed since 2013
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
2013- 38
2014- 37
2015- 43
2016- 47
2017- 34
2018- 28
2019- 16
2020- 7
For 6 year contracts the breakdown is as follows
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
2001-2006- 21
2017-2013- 70
2014-2020- 29
And again considering how under-represented our stuff would be pre 13 those numbers are much bigger than whats here
Player driven would only be the most recent. Teams I think moved away from it because they were mainly just using those years for proration and would get stuck with tons of dead money. Deals then were also bigger relative to the cap which required that
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
I think so. Teams gained much more flexibility with the cap due to the rookie changes and carryover rules. More teams also started to move 100% away from the coach/GM structure by then though that was more coincidence.
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
Somewhat. This was the first year I saw that on a big level though. Not sure if that was because of the expected TV money or more awareness. Surprisingly teams didnt really reduce guarantees for that. I thought they might.
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 2, 2020
In the 2020 NFL Draft, there was nearly as much draft capital spent on running backs as 3-4 DEs, NTs, and 4-3 DTs combined.... despite the fact that there are more than twice as many interior defensive linemen on the field as RBs on each play https://t.co/b9Ev5mIfoJ

How much teams relied on players in 2019 who are still unsigned in 2020
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) May 1, 2020
Top Right- Many expensive, unwanted players
Top Left- A few expensive unwanted players
Bottom Right- Gave chances to low value "contract year" players
Bottom Left- Had good roster use of outgoing free agents pic.twitter.com/3XaYZnwh4g
