The Redskins signed WR Cody Latimer to a 1-year deal this offseason. It was a low cost deal like many others the team has made under new Head Coach Ron Rivera. He has preached changing the culture since joining the organization at the start of the year.

Latimer was arrested near Denver where he started his NFL career with the Broncos. Police have charged him with several crimes including assault and weapons charges. Here is the press release from the arresting police department:

The adult male, identified as Cody Latimer DOB 101092, was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility.

Latimer was booked in on the following charges:

18-3-203 Assault in the 2nd Degree F4

18-3-206 Menacing F5

18-12-107 Illegal Discharge of a Firearm F5

18-12-106 Prohibited Use of a Weapon M2

18-3-208 Reckless Endangerment M3

Latimer is being held on a $25,000 bond. It was also learned that Latimer is currently on the roster for the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins have no comment.
