It’s very evident that Ron Rivera and Kyle Smith are all about getting weapons for Dwayne Haskins. In this very deep wide receiver class, the Redskins took advantage with their second fourth round pick selecting Liberty wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden.
Gandy-Golden measured in at a massive 6’4” and 223 pounds at the combine. He has almost 10” hands and make no mistake about it, they are some of the strongest(although maybe not the most reliable) in this receiver class.
He was highly productive during his time at Liberty, grabbing 150 passes for 2433 yards and 20 touchdowns over the last two seasons.
Antonio is not going to run away from many corners in the NFL, and he’ll need to clean up his route running at his stem, but he can bully smaller defensive backs in tight quarters, and he can turn 50-50 balls into 80-20 situations with his length and athleticism.
Although he’s not as polished entering the league, Gandy-Golden reminds me of a young Mike Evans - especially with his size, physicality and run-after-catch ability.

This is a VERY solid fourth round pick. He should see time as a rookie at X receiver in Scott Turner’s offense.
