I went through the predictions for the Redskins Draft: Pick-3 Contest - 2020 this morning to see which players stood out as favorites among the punters to be drafted in the 4th round.
Two names jumped out at me:
- 28 entrants predicted K.J. Hill in the 4th round
- 22 entrants predicted Saahdiq Charles in the 4th round
Having drafted “offensive weapon” Antonio Gibson in the 3rd round, there is some question whether the Redskins would come back for the Ohio State wide receiver Hill in the 4th, though he has been a popular choice in mock drafts all off season.
Charles is an offensive tackle from LSU. At this point there may be a question whether the Redskins should invest a 4th round pick in an offensive lineman who likely wouldn’t see the field in 2020.
Still, the Pick 3 entrants are a pretty sharp group; 3 of them had Friday’s pick, Antonio Gibson, listed among their predicitons, though the three entrants predicted that he would be taken in the 4th, 5rh or 7th rounds.

The Draft Network Analyst’s Report:
Nobody in Ohio State program history caught more footballs in their career than KJ Hill. Hill projects as a slot receiver in the NFL that is an outstanding route runner in the short to intermediate areas of the field and his hands are generally secure. His smooth and crisp routes enable him to create separation and he has natural catch and run ability. With that said, Hill is limited in terms of length and his catch radius is small. He isn’t likely to find much success when challenged with contested situations and he doesn’t win much outside his frame. Hill has a chance to become a productive slot option in the NFL but he doesn’t come without limitations.
KJ Hill has an opportunity to excel in the NFL as a real threat from the slot receiver position. For Washington, he would be challenging current receiver Steve Sims for the go-to slot option. So, because Hill has proven to excel around the line of scrimmage, it is hard for me to project anything more from KJ as a wideout currently. He has shown he is capable of working in the middle of the field; however, if Washington were to select him, Hill must become a more explosive and dynamic player in order for him to pan out.
Saahdiq Charles, OT, LSU

The Draft Network Analyst’s Report:
Saahdiq Charles projects as a potential starting left tackle at the NFL level. He has high end physical tools, functional athleticism and build at his disposal — offering ample foundation to build upon. Charles will need to fill out his frame and add some additional functional strength in order to hold up consistently at the NFL level, and his off-field status is filled with question marks due to disciplinary measures. Charles should be considered a high ceiling, low floor prospect.
Charles is a powerful man who is a very easy mover. He’s solid in space and can drive and deliver once he gets his hands on the defender. He does had some off-the-field issues that could scare teams away.
