The Redskins have listened to the trade offers, and nothing has blown the doors off...yet. According to Ian Rapoport the Redskins will keep the #2 overall pick and not trade down in the 1st round. This means that Chase Young will likely hear his name called at #2 tonight, and return home to be the newest member of the Washington Redskin.
Rapoport says the decision has been made, but there is obviously still time to make trades, and the Redskins closing the door, could open another team’s draft wallet. Or they’re tired of listening to offers that aren’t even close, and said stop wasting our time. The draft starts in 30 minutes, and the Redskins will be picking in around an hour. Can’t wait!
The #Redskins have received calls from teams about potentially trading up to No. 2. But they’ve made a decision, and sources say no trade. They are making the pick… because they love the player who will be there for them.
