The NFL's legal tampering period began on Monday at 12pm EST, and goes until free agency officially starts today at 4pm EDT. Many deals were discussed a few weeks ago at the NFL Combine, and will continue to be reported today. Teams must work through players’ agents during this time, and no contracts can be signed until free agency officially opens.
A lot of action happened on Day 2 of legal tampering. The Redskins agreed to terms with a pair of LBs. Drew Brees announced his return to the Saints for two more years. Phillip Rivers is going to the Colts on a 1-year deal. Tom Brady is signing a 2-year deal with the Buccaneers. Teddy Bridgewater takes over for Cam Newton in Carolina. Newton will either be traded or released. The Redskins have already discussed it, and are happy with Dwayne Haskins Jr.
