All atwitter will be posted at the beginning of every day (at midnight in Washington, DC). The goal is to give readers a handy spot to check the Redskins beat writers & bloggers, and national sports journalists to keep up on the latest news about the Redskins, the NFL, and sports in general, along with a smattering of other things.

Today is the last day you can vote on the proposed CBA.
— NFLPA (@NFLPA) March 14, 2020
If you paid dues in 2019 you're eligible to vote! Check your email and reach out to your player director if you have any questions. pic.twitter.com/MxqBJ0y7jO
NFLPA voting on the new CBA proposal closes at 11:59 pm ET tonight. The accounting firm that's managing the voting will have to go through a verification process and is expected to inform NFLPA leadership of the results sometime Sunday morning. Wish I could be more specific.

#Redskins have placed franchise tag on Guard Brandon Scherff
— Washington Redskins (@Redskins) March 14, 2020
Team sends out a revised official statement making it clear Brandon Scherff received the non-exclusive franchise tag #HTTR pic.twitter.com/hbGfpnStBF
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) March 14, 2020
This the fourth tag given, and each thus far (Judon, Henry, Simmons and now Scherff) has been a formality. Teams had acknowledged this was the plan. https://t.co/IYo1aSaxpV
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) March 14, 2020
#Redskins announce they've placed the franchise tag on Brandon Scherff. Not a surprise at this point, but not very common for a guard to get.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) March 14, 2020
Tag is it, for now. Redskins were hoping for a long term deal, still have time to get it done. https://t.co/UqeGDU57ne
— Julie Donaldson (@JDonaldsonNBCS) March 14, 2020
From what I've been told, the #Redskins want to make Scherff one of the centerpieces of their team and THE centerpiece of their OL.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) March 14, 2020
He's one of the best guards in football. They love his work ethic/demeanor. Now they gotta see if they can find a long term number that works.
A difference here between Scherff and Kirk Cousins: Scherff enters with 13 missed games combined the last two years. Security always matters to players, especially if coming off those injuries. Stay tuned. Not like Skins have anything else going on with any OL.
— John Keim (@john_keim) March 14, 2020
Brandon Scherff is very good, & I hope #Redskins get LTD done. But he has missed 13 games over last 2 years, had 9 penalties (6 holdings) in just 11 games in 2019 & Wes Martin did quite well vs. Fletcher Cox & Brandon Graham in Wk 15 loss to Eagles. Hard to ignore all of this.

Team trading for Trent must accept
— Redskins Rant (@RedskinsRant) March 14, 2020
- Trent OKing team
- Trents $ demands
- Ron’s trade demands
- Trents inj/suspension history
- Trents Age
Gut feeling: that’s a lot of things that need to happen just to facilitate trading away a talented under contract player
My 2c : 71 stays
assuming the new CBA is instituted it will likely make the former suspensions meaningless, since it shouldn't escalate penalties.
— Steve Shoup (@Steveospeak) March 15, 2020
I’m think so brother. You’re not getting a better tackle for cheaper in free agency and you can’t guarantee that you’ll get a better tackle in the draft either
— Redskins Rant (@RedskinsRant) March 14, 2020
It might not be. Close call
— John Keim (@john_keim) March 14, 2020
No. They’ve been voting for more than a week. But no guarantee at all that it passes.

Assuming the NFL will announce the salary cap number tomorrow or Monday once its know if its the new or current CBA rules in place
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) March 15, 2020
NFL and NFLPA are expected to be in contact Sunday, after players' CBA vote, on how to proceed. Source said it's "more likely than not" that free agency starts as scheduled but still possible it's delayed. There's a "higher probability" that teams' offseason programs are delayed.

NFL continues to say it’s business as usual and new league will start this week.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 14, 2020
Multiple team officials express widespread skepticism that the NFL can start its league year this week, when our country is in crisis and so much - travel, visits, physicals - would have to happen.
The NFL and NFLPA are expected to consult Sunday on free agency and teams' offseason programs. A source said free agency could be delayed but it was "more likely than not" it will begin on time, with a "higher probability" of offseason workouts being postponed. Decisions pending.

Former #Titans and #Eagles G Chance Warmack is aiming at a comeback after sitting out last season. The former first-round pick, who turns 29 in September, has visits lined up with teams once facilities reopen. Has hired a new agent in Ron Slavin of @SPORTSTARSNYC.

— Redskins Rant (@RedskinsRant) March 14, 2020
yeah it's crazy deep. There are 20+ WR who are typical 1st-3rd rd type talents. They aren't all going in the top 3 rounds.
— Steve Shoup (@Steveospeak) March 15, 2020
Also it's not like it's a weak draft at many positions. QB, RB, OL, DL, LB, EDGE all strong

There are scary events - 9/11, bomb threats, hurricanes - where there may be little you can do. And I admire the desire to live your life without succumbing to the risks life brings.

But this is not that. You can actually prevent this, or at least protect yourself. Stay inside.
